F/LIST, the Austrian-based pioneer of innovative luxury design in cabin interiors, brings light to the sky with its brand new Lightshifter concept. Building on F/LIST's magical Shapeshifter technology, which transforms solid monuments into versatile applications, F/LIST now lets wood veneer surfaces shine and unveils integrated lighting technology that creates surprising textures, effects and atmospheres in the cabin.

Lightshifter is a completely new material concept that allows naturally oiled wood veneer to become a light source at the touch of a button. When activated, the wooden surface is transformed into a stage for light displays that lend depth and dimension to a flat surface. When the light is no longer required, the veneer returns to its original state - without leaving any visible traces. It is controlled via the cabin management system and can be operated by the cabin crew in passenger aircraft as well as by crew or guests in business jets. The concept was developed at the customer's request to transform surfaces into impressive backgrounds spontaneously and with minimal effort.

A new combination of materials was developed for this technology, which makes it possible to transform wood from its natural state into another form without losing its durability. The invisibly integrated light can be used as a discreet light source for passengers or as a dramatic backdrop for creative structures and imagery.

The Lightshifter premiered at the renowned Red Cabin Business Jet and VIP Interior Innovation Summit, which F/LIST co-hosted in Vienna. For the first time, the international business aviation community gathered in Austria - with more than 200 industry leaders and experts. The event offered a unique platform for exchange, collaboration and the presentation of innovations that will shape the next generation of cabin interiors.

Lightshifter was developed in the company's own innovation hub F/LAB - a clear commitment to F/LIST's mission to challenge the status quo and lead the industry with visionary design concepts.
