Bombardier and F/LIST unveil new Material Lounge at Bombardier's London Biggin Hill Service Center

  • Contemporary 65 m² Material Lounge offers a comprehensive portfolio of interior materials, fabrics and components for upgrading aircraft
  • Customers can choose color, texture and style options to create unique interiors
  • Bombardier's London Biggin Hill service center is the largest maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility for business aircraft in the UK, offering customers a wide range of service options

Bombardier and F/LIST have announced the opening of a contemporary 65m² Material Lounge at Bombardier's London Biggin Hill service center at London Biggin Hill Airport. The new Material Lounge is the most comprehensive portfolio of interior materials, fabrics and components that Bombardier has housed at any of its international service centers. It is also the first time that F/LIST, the Austrian-based pioneer in the production and design of innovative luxury interiors for exclusive business and private jets and residences, has created a dedicated space to showcase its product portfolio outside its headquarters.

The full range of interior design services Bombardier offers at the facility is enhanced by the addition of the Material Lounge showroom. Managed by F/LIST, the carefully curated selection of more than 1,300 samples, including wood veneers, stone finishes, leathers, fabrics, woven materials and metal finishes, offers designers, owners and operators the opportunity to explore the full collection of F/LIST materials. Visitors will also have access to F/LIST's innovative bio-based materials, F/LAB Whisper Leather, Linfinium and Aenigma products, which offer a rich selection of novel materials that support sustainable design in the cabin.

"The addition of this design experience further demonstrates our commitment to our European customers by providing the expertise, support and tailored customer experience that our owners and operators expect from us," said Paul Thompson, Senior Director, Bombardier Service Centers, International. "Providing such a unique offering underlines our ongoing commitment to supporting all aspects of the owner experience. The European market is of great importance to us and this latest addition to our largest service center in Europe and the largest business aircraft MRO in the UK confirms our commitment to world-class service and support."

"We are delighted to be working with Bombardier on this project and to take the opportunity to provide our mutual customers, Bombardier designers and our own interior specialists with a discreet place where they can conveniently see, touch and explore one of the industry's leading collections of cabin interior materials in a single location. This modern space is more than a showroom and sales tool; it's a place where we can help bring interior design concepts to life in a dedicated, inspiring environment," said Katharina List-Nagl, CEO of F/LIST. "In addition to the physical samples, a configurator will be provided to translate schemes, material choices and design ideas into a visual representation of the cabin interior."

on 23.03.2024 at the age of 76 after a serious illness passed away. This loss hits us all hard and leaves a painful gap, not only in his family and our organization, but also in the world of exclusive exclusive interior design.
Franz List's vision took us from a modest carpentry shop founded by his father in 1950 to a globally recognized company. His leadership, his love of the craft and his innovative spirit have made F/LIST what it is today.

He will be greatly missed.
