Nun's Island Kitchen
Project: Nun's Island Kitchen
Design: The Baron Institute
Location: Montreal
Materials: black Fenix laminate with dark and deep features, walnut veneer, highlights with dark granite and white accents
Designer Marie-Lise Baron about the unique design:
"I always like the art of combining opposites to create a perfect visual balance, be it with the materials, textures, volumes and colors. For this particular kitchen, the warmth and tenderness of the walnut is a natural complement to the deep black of the main cabinets. To light this space open to the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the nobility of the glossy black granite countertops, colored with warm cognac and white currents, and the tinted mirror backsplash bring the right amount of warmth and coolness to the colors, surfaces and textures. Without shadows, you can't see the light. It's the yin and yang in your kitchen!"
