New F/LIST apprentice initiative brings more benefits

"The F stands for Future".

Up to ten additional flexible days off, an apprenticeship allowance paid above the collective agreement, further training such as a school-leaving certificate, language and specialist courses and many other benefits are designed to inspire a love of craftsmanship in the younger generation. The traditional local company F/LIST, which specializes in interiors for yachts, business and private jets and residences, is investing in the future of craftsmanship and making apprenticeships attractive under the motto "F stands for Future".

Two apprentices from F/LIST are working on a wood project in a production facility. The young man is using a milling machine while the young woman watches him with interest. Both are wearing brown T-shirts with the F/LIST logo. In the background, other people are busy in the workshop.

The family-run company F/LIST offers apprentices a lot: In addition to in-depth training, apprentices receive up to ten additional working days off and more pay.

As one of the largest employers in Lower Austria, F/LIST is delighted to train 15 talented young people every year in six different professions who are shaping the future with a passion for craftsmanship and technology. Since January 2023, F/LIST has therefore also been offering its apprentices many new benefits: In addition to the previous ones, such as a free freshly cooked lunch made from regional products in the F/LIST company restaurant every day, fuel vouchers and the F/LIST benefits card, apprentices receive an increased apprentice allowance and can earn additional flexible vacation days through their performance. With ten locations worldwide, including London, Fort Lauderdale, Montreal and Dubai, F/LIST also offers apprentices the opportunity to complete part of their training abroad. Great importance is also attached to individual support for further training and school education: The company provides support with the Berufsreifematura and offers language and specialist courses at the company. At the end of the day, fun at work should not be neglected. This is why the Lower Austrian company organizes several team events and celebrations every year, including a company run, soccer tournaments and a large F/LIST summer party. There is also an apprentice challenge with great prizes.

Monika Putz, Group Director People & Culture at F/LIST: " As a craftsman's business and family company, two things are particularly close to F/LIST's heart: craftsmanship and people. Together, the tried and tested counts all the more: mutual appreciation and respect. It is therefore very important to us that this is also reflected in the remuneration and benefits that we can offer as a company. With our new apprentice initiative, we want to make apprenticeships and the skilled trades profession attractive in the long term."

An apprentice from F/LIST is standing in the upholstery shop holding a roll of light-colored leather in his hands. He is wearing a brown F/LIST T-shirt and smiling slightly at the camera. Various tools and materials are lying on a table around him, and shelves with other materials can be seen in the background.

on 23.03.2024 at the age of 76 after a serious illness passed away. This loss hits us all hard and leaves a painful gap, not only in his family and our organization, but also in the world of exclusive exclusive interior design.
Franz List's vision took us from a modest carpentry shop founded by his father in 1950 to a globally recognized company. His leadership, his love of the craft and his innovative spirit have made F/LIST what it is today.

He will be greatly missed.
